Using the new innovative architecture design, MRD Series PCI-E Sub Storage is designed by installing any standard PCI-e Raid Controller Card directly into its internal PCI-e slot and uses the high speed external PCI-Express x8 (2GB/s) host adapter as the host interface.
This is a 2U 12 Bay Hot-Swap SAS/SATA Rackmount Storage. It provides users 24TB storage capacity using Western Digital Enterprise HDD, the WD RE4-GP. Including features such as Serial ATA 3 Gb/s, 64MB cache, 7200 RPM and RAID-specific, time-limited error recovery (TLER) technology, this makes it the ideal drives.
Pairing these HDD's with Areca ARC-1231ML, configured with a RAID 5 setting, average Read/Write are in the range of 800MB/S. In addition, the chassis are equipped with Environmental Monitoring with Power/FAN/TEMP LEDs and mutable buzzer alarm, LED indicators for power and activity on each HDD tray and individual key lock of each HDD tray for physical security.
An industrial grade 400w power supply is installed, and 2 x 60 mm internal fan helps cool this unit down substantially.
This high performance external data storage solution is perfect for 1080p HD video editing, Video Surveillance, or other demanding read/write intensive applications.
